Editorial Photography & Visual Storytelling for Brands That Want to Be Remembered.
— On Practice
A photography practice built on a single visual thesis per assignment.
Every commission begins with one sentence written down before a camera is unpacked. It names what the image is for, what the viewer should feel in the first half-second, and what we are willing to leave out. From there the day is built — light, wardrobe, location, pace — around protecting that sentence. The result is not a library of options but a tight set of frames that already agree with each other.
The studio works out of a 1,400-square-foot space in Roma Norte, with four in-house collaborators covering art direction, styling, and location, and a vetted freelance crew of twenty-two we trust to move at our tempo. Every frame in the archive is personally culled and graded on calibrated reference monitors before it is delivered — five business days for a six-image campaign. There is no outsourced post-production and no AI assistance of any kind. The work you commission is the work that ships, signed in our hand.
— How an assignment moves
Four steps from a one-page visual thesis to delivered, personally graded selects.
-
01
Brief & Thesis
A 45-minute call to align on audience, channel, and constraints, followed by a one-page visual thesis — a single sentence plus six reference frames — that the brief, wardrobe, location, and art direction all answer to.
-
02
Pre-Production
The studio handles casting, styling, props, permits, and a single scout day with the lead stylist. In-house art direction keeps every department pointed at the same thesis, which is how repeat clients see campaign production costs drop by an average of 41%.
-
03
Single-Day Editorial
One shoot day, shot on a medium-format digital back with a restrained lens kit. A single-day editorial workflow means fewer sets, fewer hours, and a sharper visual argument — no insurance shots, no filler.
-
04
Cull, Grade, Deliver
Every frame is personally culled and color-graded on reference monitors matched to a publication-grade soft-proofing chain. A six-image campaign deliverable ships in five business days; the archive holds 87,000+ frames catalogued by project, client, and rights window.
— Selected Work
Four recent assignments, each one shot to a different visual thesis.

JC delivers the rarest thing in fashion photography — a body of work that reads as one editorial argument across campaigns, covers, and lookbooks. He does not send options; he sends the edit.
